"Yet you brought me out of the womb, you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast."
Psalm 22:9

Breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition for all babies. Breastmilk is "More than Milk", it is a necessity for a baby to be more healthy. When I was pregnant, my husband and I decided that brestfeeding would be a good choice since it was free! Little did we know that this was just one small benefit of breastfeeding.

*Did you know:
  • Breastfeeding encourages bonding (it's an incredibly warm, comforting feeling for both of you).
  • Breastmilk provides nutrients not found anywhere else.
  • Breastmilk staves off allergic reactions and potentially lifelong allergies and asthma.
  • Breastmilk protects baby and makes it less likely to get sick; formula fed babies see doctors almost twice as often as breastfed babies.
  • Breastfeeding dramaticly lowers rates of serious illness. Breastfed babies are four times less likely to be hospitalized for bacterial infections; less likely to suffer from SIDS, cancer, dermatitis, ear infections, diarrhea, diabetes, liver disease, and other afflictions.
  • Breastmilk is cheaper than formula.
  • Breastmilk is easier to prepare and digest than formula.
  • Breastmilk is always the right temperature.
  • Breastmilk is always sterile.
  • If you breastfeed, you don't need to remember food when you leave the house.
  • Breastfeeding makes travel less of a hassle.
  • If you breastfeed, your pediatrician will commend you for it.
  • If you breastfeed, your baby will love you for it.
  • Breastfeeding may help your child avoid weight problems in the future.
  • Breastfeeding helps your uterus contract and return to its old shape faster.
  • Breastfeeding represents a style of parenting: right off the bat, you're willing to adjust your life to your baby's and give a lot of love. You might save your child a lot of time and money he'd have spent on therepy.
  • Studies show breastmilk is the perfect brain food during the first year of life and increases your child's I.Q. by an average of 8.3 points.
  • Breastfed babies are 40% less likely to have misaligned teeth.
  • Breastfed babies have better eyesight.
  • Breastmilk is environmentally sound.
  • And the best reason to breastfeed?? "Enzymatically hydrolyzed reduced minerals, whey protein concentrate, palm olein, soy, coconut, high-oleic safflower oils, lactose, maltodextrin, potassium citrate, calcium phosphate, calcium chloride, salt, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, cpooer sulfate, manganese sulfate, potassium iodide, soy lecithin, mono and diglycerides, inositol, choline bitaartrate, sodium ascorbate, alpha tocopheryl acetate, niacinamide, calcium panothenate, vitamin A acetate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, phylloquinone, biotin, vitamin D3, vitamin B12, taurine, L-carnitine." That's what's in formula!!
