Sausage and Clam Sauce



4 links hot Italian sausage
1 28oz tomatoe puree
2 6.5oz cans minced clams
1 6oz jar clam juice
8oz fresh mushrooms sliced
3 cloves garlic chopped
1 medium onion chopped
1 tspn salt
1 tspn pepper
1/2 tspn thyme
1 tspn fennel seed
1 tspn basil
2 tspn pregano

Remove skins from sausage links and break links into small chunks. Pan fry until cooked through. Add all ingredients, except clams, to a large sauce pan and simmer for 1 hour. Add clams and simmer until clams are heated through. Serve over your favorate pasta.
