Warren Otto Jones

April 21, 1912 - May 26, 1998

He was an Artist, Poet, Humanitarian, Inventor
and a Master Craftsman
He was loved by every one whose life he touched
He filled his world with beauty and creativity
crafted with the pen, the brush, the chisel or the lathe
He raised his family with love and respect
He traveled his path for 86 rich and healthy years
Our world is a gentler place because of his life

for me it began in 1912
(as well as for many others)
looked just like a shriveled elf
(the one they called my mother's)

when i was born i was very young
didn't even have teeth
they say there was no lack of lung
and no control underneath

and now i have had it, life has been great
smooth sailing and not much rough
i finish my trip in vermont's fine state
i won't bore you with the rest of the stuff
