DON’T SHUT ME OUT
I watch you wonder though the house.
You smile as you pass.
But the distance that’s between us,
says our love is dying fast.
You use to kiss my shoulder,
or hold me by the hand.
You’d run your fingers through my hair,
you were the only man.
Don’t try to tell me different,
It isn’t hard to see,
love is no longer there,
when you look at me.
I feel the difference in your touch,
I saw you pull away.
The loss of love is painful,
yet there is so much to say.
Time can be a killer,
of dreams and love alike.
It hurts a lot to know,
you will be with her tonight.
The secret that you keep from me,
has torn our love apart.
I wish I knew the secret,
that mends a broken heart.
