That's My Diane
Rompin' and stompin' with snakes and worms ...
What heart would be within such a tike ...
Strong and persistent ... loving and kind ...
But at times resisting discipline ... a strong mind.
Years roll along ... all life changes!
Our very being is compiled of experience ...
Some mellow ...some worsen... some see through their eyes
What none others of us envision ... the hardness dies.
Loving and kind ... beautiful inside ...
Forming expressions that we're hard-pressed to find ...
Raising children with patience and kindness they desired ...
And loving a husband with endless affection, through the good times
and
the mired.
Forgiving and kind ... a heart for the sorrowful ...
Empathy for the sick and heavy laden ...
Fairness in settlement ... forgiveness to the unjust ...
And reaching out with the heart is simply a 'must'.
It's all in a package ... small at first then growing ...
With the world's implosion upon a frail, yet wonderfully made body,
The child-turned-adult survives the pressure that time applies
...
Adding to her gracefulness ... because God therein abides.
May God bless you always,
Love,
Mother
