Your Genealogy Software: FTM | Comments: Hi Mark - Don't know how I got to your site, but guess I had it bookmarked from another time when I was looking for RUTTAN/RUTTON/etc. I noticed on your pedigree you have a McDonald from Mosa - that's where my MCRAEs were for several generations and the RAHAMS were close by. I have Nathaniel Graham b. 1863 of Chatham m. to Mitinnie Rutton b. 1865 PEI, d/o Henry and Mary RUTTON and Baizel Graham b. 1868 of Chatham m. Lorinda RUTTAN b. 1869 Hastings Co., d/o Henry and Mary Ann RUTTAN (obviously sisters b t who was spelling?) Anyway, the GRAHAM boys are my gruncles. I didn't see any of these people in your names - if you can find a connection let me know - we'll both add to our trees. Regards Jan |

Not sure what I'm supposed to put in the photos box. (yes I do have some!) Noticed that your parents' photo didn't come up in any great detail. Almost looks like a negative. Perhaps I need a better display adapter & mon tor setting??? (mine is only set to 640x480x256 - a little disagreement 'tween me & Win 98!!) You mite like to know: I received email from a Stuart Ruttan, stationed at a girl's school in Japan. Evidently he returns to BC every now and then. He's looki g for Ruttan ancestors, and he found my name beside that of Ruttans located in BC, so gave me a shout. I'm waiting for more details from him, as he only gave me his grand-father's first name. (Douglas, and that he'd died in 1981, in BC) I told him abt y ur web-site, but wanted to check it was still working b4 giving the url. Seems it is; I like the musical touch! Ok, cu later....Bob |

Your Genealogy Software: FTM | Comments: Hi - got your url from TLBartley. I have two RUTTAN/RUTTON sisters in Chatham, Ontario who married two GRAHAM brothers in the 1880s. They are daughters of Henry and Mary Ann RUTTAN/RUTTON. I did find a Henry listed with your RUTTANS, but not the girls, and no GRAHAM surname. From family oral history, I have it that my ggrandmother Susan Graham was born in Hastings Co. However, her brother Nathaniel, who married Minnie Ruttan, is listed as being born in Kingston. I have not yet examined your site closely, but assume you have the UEL information there. I've found quite a bit for RUTTAN on Ancestry. I have not yet proven it, but assume that my GRAHAMS and McRAES are UEL - since they received Crown Grants of land i Kent County in the late 1700s, after the revolution. Would love to collaborate with you, if you think these two ladies and Henry are part of your line. Jan |

Comments: I've been concentrating on transcribing Henry Ruttan's Book (A Part of the Family Ruttan 1590 - 1986) into FOW 5.0. I and part of my family, have been entered in his book, but as RUTTAN's, not as YOUNG's. There are other discrepancies in Henry's book tha I'd like to help correct, with the help of his family. (Henry's deceased, now) I'm abt 3/4 finished with over 5300 individuals entered. Thru' the internet, have also been trying to help other researchers with their US ancestors, where I can. I currently have a problem with my database, which must be repaired b4 I can publish a Web-Page to the Parson's Technology site. Fortunately I can still enter data, altho' I can't always gen' a report or GEDCOM file. Expect all that will be corrected on e the database is sent in for repair. This is the 1st time I've seen your page, so will have a good look b4 commenting about it. What I've seen so far, looks well done. Thanks... Bob Young |
