Mrs. Teuton
Mrs. Bessie Lupo Taylor Teuton, age 75, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, February 13, 1974 at her home on 606 Lupo Lane, Douglas.
Mrs. Teuton was born on May 6, 1898 in Lakeview, S.C., and was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Jim Lupo.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 15th at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of Sims Funeral Home. Rev. Wade Sheffield, pastor of the Sunset Baptist Church, officiated. Interment followed in the Douglas City Cemetery.
Organ music was provided by Mrs. Osbon Mills.
Pallbearers were Fred Barrs, Jr., Jerry Barrs, Freddie Davis, Sr., Ray Carol Odum, Gerald Wright and Jimmy Ott.
Mrs. Teuton is survived by one son: James L. Taylor, New Orleans, LA.; one sister: Mrs. Rosa Cargile, Valdosta; one step-daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nettie Taylor, Jacksonville, Fla; eight grandchildren.
