Adult Size: 24"
Tank Size: Adult specimens of this species should be kept in a tank of at least 200gallons.
Compatible Species: P.cariba, P.nattereri

Comments: The Piraya is undoubtly the giant king of all Piranhas, it is one of the biggest Piranhas known. The Piraya is very similar in appearance to the Red Belly, with the exeption of a tufted adipose fin, unique only to this species. The Natives fear this species more than any other Piranha.
