NOVICE CLASS
The novice class is for 'novice' exhibitors (in your first 12 months of membership and Juniors under 18 years of age) it is a 'beginners' class to learn how to exhibit and prepare their cavies for the show table. Pet or pure breed cavies can be entered in this class. The animals are judged on grooming and handling and exhibitors are advised on the finer points of showing. This class is only at table shows, as it would be pointless at a pen show where the animals are handled by stewards.
PET CLASS
This does not appear on the Schedual but is held at 12pm at each Hall Show. Anyone is eligible to enter it. Members & Non Mebers, Age is open.
ENTRIES
To be sent on the correct entry form and posted to the entries secretary listed on the show calendar, before the closing date.
SHOW TIME
At table shows, Judging will commence at 10am. Ear tags Collected and fees paid by 9.3Oam.
At pen shows, Judging will commence at 9.3Oam. Cavies are to be penned by 9am and remain on show until 4pm
EXHIBITION
No Judge or the immediate family of the Judge may exhibit at a show at which they are judging. A cavy purchased from a judge, may not be exhibited under that judge until a period of 3 months has elapsed.
At pen shows, carpet squares 30cm X 30cm are required for each cavy, for the exhibition pens. At table shows all cavies must be exhibited on a show board height not to exceed 5cm. All exhibitors must be financial members of the N.S.W. Cavy Club Inc. to enter a show.
JUDGING
No talking is permitted at the judging table. Any communications must be left until after the judging of that class has concluded. Any exhibitor making comments about other animals may risk their animal being disqualified.
The judges decision is FINAL and no disputes will be entered into.
STEWARDS
At pen shows stewards are required to present the exhibits to the judge. Stewards are to carry only one animal at a time, and they will present it to the judge in a manner to enhance it to its best At no time is a steward permitted to pass comment on any animal to the judge with the exception of those relating to illness, injury or the possible risk to health of the other exhibits.
CONDITION OF ENTRY
It is a condition of entry to any show held under N.S.W. Cavy Club Inc. regulations, that each exhibitor agrees for the purpose of the show to be bound and to abide by the above rules.
