Uncle Tom's software includes Numbers, and Letters. These are fundamental building blocks for your children's learning to enjoy life and be successful in whatever they choose. Several other titles have also been produced or in development. If you might be interested in a copy, and help support my hobby, please contact me.
Numbers -- Starting here, your child clicks each highlighted number from 0 to 10. An object animates on screen for each new number.
Counting -- This builds on Numbers. Several objects appear on the screen, and your child clicks on the correct number button. They may keep trying until they get the right answer.
Matching -- With this game, your child continues to expand their understanding of numbers and the amount they represent. The options are matching the same numbers, same amounts, and numbers with amounts.
Totals -- Here your youngster will see how two numbers can add up to a number they already know. This association is an important step in adding numbers. By selecting each colored box in sequence, your child will add their first numbers.
Adding -- Finally, your child puts together the skills they have mastered with this program. After two sets of objects animate on the screen, your child will add them together and click on the correct answer.
Very Minimum Platform Requirements -- 486, Windows 3.1, sound card and speakers, 4 megs.
Names of Letters -- Your child should begin here with your assistance. Click on the letter or use the keyboard to hear its pronunciation. Letters are displayed in order, and the current letter is highlighted in the alphabet. Capital and small letters are shown for recognition.
Alphabet Piano -- All 26 letters are displayed at the same time. Use the mouse or keyboard to select letters and hear letters pronounced in any order and rate. Have fun with this one!
Choose Correct Letter -- Four letters are displayed randomly. One of the letters is pronounced. Use the mouse or keyboard to select the correct letter.
Matching Letters -- Two to twelve cards are displayed in increments of two. Click on the cards one at a time and try to match letters. Correct matches are removed. When all cards are matched, change the number of cards for a new game.
