In 1984 I took AUST CH DEANFIELD GERONIMO AT SAXONSPRINGS to New Zealand to campaign. His show career there was very successful with BIS and Group wins and his New Zealand title in just 24 days.

It was during this trip that I first met Margaret Herlihy who had only recently acquired CANRITH JO KANG from his previous owners. Margaret was already a very successful exhibitor/breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs under her EURYDICE prefix but was very interested in Lhasa Apsos.

Our friendship remained strong and when we had the opportunity to buy SAXONSPRINGS CLOTHILDE from Jean Blyth in 1987 we decided to buy her in partnership and so SAIRKYI was formed. Sadly Tilly never produced and the first litter under the SAIRKYI banner was whelped on 11th February 1990, sired by Saxonsprings Shine-On from Lingkyi Qillian.

We do not breed very much, usually only to bring on another puppy for the showring. We have some nice bitches to be mated over the next 18 months so keep watching the Shows/Pups page for details of those litters.
