A LOG PEN WAS BUILT IN THE BACK TO KEEP HIM SAFE. COMET LOVES HIS NEW RIDE! WE HAVE NAMED IT "THE COMET MOBILE". HE LOVES TO STICK HIS NOSE IN THE WIND. WHEN IT IS SNOWING HE TRIES TO LICK UP THE FLAKES. THIS IS A VERY FUNNY SIGHT AT 55 MPH. Comet is the first of my reindeer to be taught to visit with the human world. So far he is doing very well. He has become accustom to traffic noise and people. Last year was his first season to visit with me. He saw over 4500 children and their parents. WAY TO GO COMET!He lost his first set of antlers on his birthday. (what a birthday present!). This year his antlers are 3 times larger than last. It is starting to look like they are forming in the pattern that his great ancestor (the original Comet) had.
