Stella was one of TLC Greyhound Adoptions foster dogs. She was only with us a short time, but what a time that was! Stella was a beautiful, fawn colored girl! She was a mere two years old when she crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. Stella became very ill on the evening of March 7, 2000. Her foster family took her to the vet as soon as they realized she was ill. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to help Stella Bella. She suffered from an intestinal problem called intussuception. Intussusception is rare. By the time you notice symptoms, it is usually too late. Intussusception is a disorder where the intestines "telescope" in on one another. Basically, they collapse onto each other. When this happens, necrosis (death of tissue/organ) sets in. Stella began vomiting. She was vomiting what turned out to be blood (it looked like coffee grounds). Stella wasn't with us long, but she will be deeply missed! Stella is waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for her foster family, I'm sure. In the meantime, she will act as guardian angel to her greyhound friends and to TLC greyhounds. Rest in Peace little girl, we all love you..........
