Andrew Flippo Takes Own Life

Carroll County officers said today that Andrew Flippo, about 48, took his own life yesterday afternoon at his home near Carrolton on Highway 68.

Relatives of Mr. Flippo had called Carroll County sheriff Dwain Treat earlier in the day to have him picked up for admittance to a hospital.

Last night officers went to the house and found his body on the floor in a pool of blood. A .45 calibre pistol was found nearby. Officers said he had apparently been dead since about 2 p.m.

An autopsy was ordered by Carroll County coroner Dr. Poynter and the body was taken to Little Rock today.
