Carlos A Palmer

Funeral services for Carlos A Palmer, age 67, will be held at 11 o'clock this morning, (Friday) at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev Don Manuel officiating, assisted by the Rev James H Fairchild. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of McLain-Hays Funeral Home.
Mr Palmer died at the Veterans Hospital in Jackson at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, February 16, 1955, after several years illness.
He was a native of this county, the son of the late Alexander and Matilda McAdory Palmer of the Calhoun community. He was a farmer, a member and former deacon of Harmony Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War I.
Mr Palmer leaves his wife, Mrs Zona Arrington Palmer, two daughters, Mrs Albert Clinton Kemp and Mrs Victor Reed, both of Louisville; one sister, Mrs Willie Wilkes of Meridian and four half-sisters, Mrs Joe Taggart of Osceola, Ark, Mrs Lewis Myers of Boonesville, Ark, Mrs Bryce McAlilly of Greenwood and Mrs Frank Kemp of Meridian; two brothers, Gilbert of Louisville and Luther of Burnside, and three half-brothers, Gilbert of Louisville and Luther of Burnside and three half-brothers, Jimmy T of Louisville, Kearney of Quitman and Coy of Indiana, and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Palmer, Noah Palmer, Vardaman Palmer, Theron Palmer, Quinton Rogers, Grady Reed, J W Kemp and Hosea Kemp.

Walter Palmer Dead

Funeral services were held for Mr Walter Palmer, at Bluff Springs, in Kemper County, on Thursday of this week, so we learn from his brother, J C Palmer, of Rocky Hill community. Mr Palmer was 65 years of age and died suddenly from heart trouble. He is survived by his wife and five sons and one daughter.

Samuel B Palmer

Services for Samuel Baxter Palmer, 76, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 31, at Vernon Methodist church with the Rev J W Gibson, the Rev Everett Johnston and the Rev Robert Hubbard officiating. Burial was in the Whitehead cemetery under direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home, of Philadelphia.
Mr Palmer died Wednesday, august 28, 1957, at the Community Hospital. He had been ill for the past three years.
A native of this county, he was born March 9, 1881. He never married. A farmer, Mr Palmer lived in the Winston community and was a member of Vernon Methodist Church.
He leaves several nieces and nephews, Mrs Forest Eaves, Mrs Ina Flake, Mrs Eula Fulton and Vernon Palmer, all of Route 3.
Pallbearers were George Palmer, Vernon Palmer, Emmett Flake, Phillip Fulton, Clarence Palmer, Clinton Palmer and Forrest Eaves.
