Personally appeared before me Wiley Huffaker Clerk of the County Court of Claiborne County Sarah Hurst Executrix of the Estate of Aaron Hurst Decd and entered into settlement of said Estate which is as follows to wit as directed by the will

In The Name Of GOD Amen:
I, William McNew of Claiborne County and State of Tennessee, Sick but of disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the following words.
First I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be decently buryed.
Secondly, I direct that all my just debtz be paid out of the debtz that is due and owing to me, and out of the personal property belonging to my Estate.
Thirdly, it is my will and wish that all the stock of goods now on hand of every discription be sold with such other personal property as my Executors may think proper to sell or such property as they may think can be best spared from the necessary support of my family on a twelve months credit---
Fourthly, after all my just debts is paid, I will to my beloved Wife Sally McNew, all the residue of my personal property of every discription. Also, I will to her all my negroes and all my lands of every discription during her natural life with full power to contract the same as she may think proper.
Fifthly my wish and will is that the forge and furnace be sold with all the land that said forge and furnace stands upon with all the oar banks and wood lands belonging to said establishment with all the impliments for making Iron and castings that is belonging to said establishment at either private or public sale as my Executors may think most advantageous to my heirs.
Sixth after the death of my wife my will is that all the rest and residue of all my property both real and eprsonal be equally divided between my children Tobias McNew, Elisha McNew, Elizabeth Dykes heirs, Caperton McNew, Martha McNew, Preston McNew, William McNew, Catharene McNew and John McNew.
Seventh I do hereby appoint my beloved wife Sarah McNew and friend William Kincaid the Executors of this my last will and testament to execute it in all its various bearings.
I hereby declare this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
