Below you will find a list of my painting tips that I have either discovered myself or have picked up from other fellow artist.
- Recycled Palette: Thoroughly clean your meat and chicken styrofoam trays, they make the perfect palette.
- Paint Top: Put a small amount of the same color that is in your bottle along with the name of the paint on the top of your paint bottle. It saves plenty of time when your looking for that perfect color.
- Sponge Brush: I use sponge brushes for all my wood staining and base coating. It leaves no paint lines and you can just toss it in a tub of water and let it soak while your finishing up your project.
- Paper Towels: I let my wet used paper towels dry out and reuse them. They may have some paint smeared on them from dabbing my brush during shading, but as long as its not overwhelmed with it you should be okay to use them again.
- Stylus: Need a stylus, push a straight pin with a ball head into the eraser of a pencil. Also I've used the end of a toothpick for smaller dots.
Here are some links that I have found on the internet to be very informative and useful.
