Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
When you can look at yesterday without regret.
And at tomorrow without fear,
you're on your way to living in today.
Sharing
Those that bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from
themselves
Sir James M. Barrie
Happiness
Happiness is like a butterfly.
The more you chase it, the more it will elude you.
But if you turn your attention to other things,
It comes and softly sits on your shoulder.
There Is No
There is no growth without pain (pain is not optional),
So hurt a little bit.
There is no laughter without tears, so cry often
(don't be ashamed to cry for if you don't you will be ever secure but
always lonely).
There is no peace without first knowing turmoil in the soul (so be at war
with yourself sometimes).
There is no grace without first wrestling with guilt. If you're wrestling,
let Gods grace engulf you and give you new life.
Nothing TO Do
Nothing to do?
What do you mean
You can’t find a thing to do?
Have you ever stopped to think
Of all the wonderful words left unsaid,
All the paths left untrod,
All the deeds left undone,
All the songs left unsung,
All the people left unloved?
There is always something to do
If you but look around
And are willing to take a step or two.
Broken Dreams
As children bring their broken toys with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God because He was a friend.
But instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help with ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried, "How can you be so slow?"
"My child." He said. "What could I do? You never let them
go."
Yesterday....Today...and Tomorrow
There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is Yesterday with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word said, Yesterday is gone.
The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promises and poor performance. Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds- but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This leaves only one day-Today.Any man can fight the battles of just one day; it is only when you or I add the burdens of those two awful eternities-Yesterday-and Tomorrow- that we break down.
It is not experience of Today that drives men mad- it is remorse or bitterness for something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.
Let us, therefore, live but One Day at a Time.
