My interest in these references is the Hicks-Taylor marriage. If these records were recorded around 1886 then Hugh wouldn't have been recorded. Hugh did have a brother named George. At first the Priceville reference wasn't of interest until I found out that Priceville is located about 50 miles away from Bowling Green, KY. My cousin, James Franklin Hansell would be a direct descendant of James Franklin Hicks (assuming that these Hicks are related to MY Hicks). A problem with this is the dates between Mary Jane Taylor (Hicks) born in 1835, her marriage in 1859 and Hugh's birth in 1890. Even though this would put Mary Jane at 55 years of age when Hugh born. The age is excessive, but not unheard of.
