GREGRORY

Charles Gregory, born ca 1765 (probably in Va.) , died 1843 in Person Co.,NC , 1st wife unknown, married 2nd Mary Jacobs in Person Co.,NC on 2 May 1818, I believe there were no children by this 2nd marriage. The following issue was proven with land and court records for Person Co.,NC, there were at least 10 children according to census records, but the following are all I am able to prove.  I believe that Charles is the son of James Gregory.  I have been unable to prove this.

  2. Elizabeth Gregory, b. 1790-1800, md. Burgess Fulcher in Person Co.,NC
  3. John C. Gregory, b. 1805 in Person Co.,NC (death place unknown), md. Parthenia Jacobs on 25 Dec. 1828 in Person Co.,NC, This family moved to Macon Co.,NC in the late 1840s and settled in the Walnut Creek area. Their descendants spread into every state and served in every war. Their daughter Sarah followed her brothers in battle in the Civil War, caring for them and the sick in their Company.
