H.B. Acres was started in 1991 when we moved from Maryland to Washington state with an old horse named H.B. (Hudson Bay). We bought a place with enough room for H.B. and one goat named Spotty. H.B. Acres has grown over the years and has lost its first inhabitant. H.B. died in Jan of 1997 of colic at age 34, we miss him a great deal and have maintained the farm name in his honor.
Hudson Bay
H.B. Acres is now home to 8 goats, 1 sheep, 3 dogs, 10 cats, 1 chicken, 3 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, 1 chinchilla and 1 Miniature Horse named Obie. Our orginal farm in Washington state was flooded in 1996 and we have since moved twice. We are now living in beautiful Fairfield, Idaho.
Our New Barn
The Moose
We will greatly miss The Moose, our Quarter Horse/Morgan mare who died of Cushing's disease in spring 2003. She was a great horse and a great friend.
