My old lady cat, Amaretta This is my cat Retta

Now it's my turn to tell about me. :-)

I am the only daughter with three brothers, 2 older and 1 younger of my parents. My mother and her parents are/ were full gospel ministers. My father and his parents all serve(d) the Lord and farmed. I have a wonderful heritage of loving God and the land-and of course all my animals!

I went to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma for two years and graduated with a BS in animal science from South Dakota State University. I had considered being a veterinarian, but decided that I wanted to have a family and you can't take off a couple years from either occupation!

Dale and I will be married for 26 years in October and I couldn't ask for a more loving and supportive husband.I have finished my Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Univeristy of Phoenix on-line and am now persuing my MA in administration and supervision. I have taught at Christian schools in 2005, 2006, and am going to a third school for 2007. I keep wondering what the Lord is doing but keep putting one foot in front of the other!

We raised Dale's neice Andrea from the time she was 13.She graduated from Trinity Bible College. We are so proud of her and her commitment to serve the Lord.

I like to knit and crochet, read, write stories, do anything with animals of any kind-except mice, rats and snakes (Ugh!) - love kids and throughly enjoy my compuuter. I have written a couple of children's books. Two years ago my book "ABC's of me" got first place in the State Fair Open Class Children's book division. My book "Noah's ABC Ark" got second place last year. We'll have to see about this year's book. I have included my poem "Quiet in my house" for your enjoyment.

Quiet in my house.
I know that some day there will be quiet in my house.

The windows won't rattle and the doors won't slam.

Someday my name will be spoken softly,

Not a scream of "MOM" will often be heard.

I know that some day my floors will be clean.

There won't be toys scattered from front door to back.

Every window won't be full of fingerprints and dirt.

And ever level surface full of priceless works of crayon.

I know that someday there will be clean clothes in my house.

That every laundry basket won't be full to overflow.

All my socks will someday have mates.

And the stain remover will not be used all in one day.

I know that someday there will be quiet in my house.

Although at times that day is VERY far away,

Some night I will awaken to listen for children's soft breath

Only to remember there is now quiet in my house.
