Eager young faces greet me as I enter

pushing my trusty cart into the room........

A magical cart filled with treasurers

of paintbrushes and paint

of magical scissors

of boxes of clay waiting to be transformed

into mystical creatures

of paper of every color of the rainbow

Eager young eyes watch, anticipating........

anxious to begin

creating a new masterpiece.......

artworks filled with laughing children

of grinning frogs

of sleeping cats

of dreams

Eager young minds deep in concentration......

weaving fantastical tales as

busy young hands

cut, paste, paint, mold, create

Eager young arms hug me as I leave

reminding me .........

of the beauty of art

in the eager young child.
