Our Goals

to create a vibrant religious education community of children, youth, parents and other adults of UUSIS

to provide a curriculum of religious education for children and youth that conveys the essential values, heritage, and sources of the living tradition of Unitarian Universalism;

to provide high-quality programs that enhance religious education for all ages through intergenerational worship and activities;

to train, support and recognize ourselves as religious educators in the contexts of home, work, church and community; to help our children and youth feel a sense of belonging to our religious community by becoming integral parts of our UUSIS family; to help our children and youth embrace and learn from many religious heritages those ideas and values which are relevant to them and to build a basis for a living religious philosophy; to help our children and youth gain respect and appreciation for themselves, others, and all living things; to enjoy each other!

Mission Statement

We, at the Unitarian Universalist Society in Stamford, will create a secure environment which enables each child to develop self-esteem, values and a sense of the worth and dignity of all people.

We will present curricula and activities which will foster identification with the Unitarian Universalist purposes and principles, based on an understanding of our own and other religious values.
