Relationship Chart A

1.Select 2 persons and determine which ancestor they have in common. EXAMPLE: "Person A" is a Great-grandchild and " Person B" is a Grandchild of a "common ancestor". 2. Go to the top GREEN row and find Person A's "relationship" (in this case it is Great-grandchild) to the "Common Ancestor", and follow the column below it straight down. 3. Go to the side GREEN column and find the Person B's "relationship" (in this case it is Grandchild) to the "Common Ancestor", and follow the row next it straight across. 4.The relationship between the two family members is where A and B meet on the chart. In this case: Persons A and B are "1st cousins once removed" to each other. *Naturally if A and B meet at "Grand Neice or Grand Nephew", one will be a "Grand Neice or Grand Nephew" with the other person being their "Grand Aunt or Grand Uncle".
