JUST MY LUCK
(Ode to the irony of dog showing)
By Jane Boraczek

My lovely little bitch;
So silly and sweet.
Turned heads as a puppy;
Finally able to compete.

Won Eleven of sixteen;
Last 6 in a row.
Really moving nicely;
A pleasure to show.

She just needs a major;
And only needs one.
Just three stinken' points;
Can't wait until she's done.

But where are the majors?
Looked far and looked near.
Never enough entries;
Not one yet this year.

"Oh look at the entry!
One major each day.
Competition is tough;
But we may do O.K."

She really looks lovely;
Could be tough to beat.
Five days before judging;
She goes into heat!
