Catfield's favorite locally produced cookbook is back by popular demand! Not only that, but it's all new! Well, almost all new. We just had to keep some of the old standbys from the 1962 edition that no lover of delicious food in our town can stand to be without: such delights for the palate as the late Martha Sotchel's unbeatable Western Sage & Garlic Potroast... or the award-winning Paddlewheel Pudding Crackers dessert by Anonymous.
But for those who already own a previous edition of the UMC Ladies' Favorite Recipes, our newest, bestest effort includes wonderful culinary surprises you simply won't want to miss. Take for example Mary Finch's Olive Turkey Spoon Bread! Or Suzanne Reinhard's Reach-Again Super-Healthy Veggies Dip!
Let us prove to you that Methodist Ladies of the 1990's haven't lost their edge in the kitchen even though most of us are now holding down professional jobs outside the home. We Ladies of the modern era also have the advantage of more knowledge of cooking's effects on health. If you don't believe me, check out the all new "Heart Smart" section of our book!
"Favorite Recipes of 1992" is now available (hurry while supplies last!) from any member of the Methodist Women's Club. You can catch me, Vada Simmons, almost any time during the week at my workplace, Tyler's Cigars, Cards & Gifts, 409 Division Street.
Copies are also being kept at the church office which is open certain daytime hours during the week. Phone 955-0109 and leave a message if necessary.
The book is comb-bound, 126 pages, and costs $14 per copy. Some of the sale proceeds will support Methodist Women's Club activities, but most of the funds we raise will be used to support overseas missions.
You owe it to your family to get this book!
