Notes for THOMAS A. CLEGG:
Thomas Clegg was a farmer and a Methodist.

Thomas and Bridget (Polk) Clegg removed from the Eastern Shore of Virginia
to Chatham County, North Carolina.  Bridget's Little Prayer Book, which she
brought with her, records the date as 22 October 1789.  They brought with
them their six month old son.  Many of their descent became Methodist
ministers.
