Fennel Gripe Water
1 tsp fennel seeds 1 1/4 cups boiling water Crush fennel seeds and cover with boiling water. Leave to steep for about 20 minutes. Strain seeds and store in a container for future use.

Yarrow is an excellent herb for first aid. It helps to stop bleeding and encourages scabbing in wounds. It has been known to lessen menstrual bleeding by directing blood away from the pelvis and postpartum mothers will find that drinking a warm tea made from yarrow tincture will help to slow their bleeding. As a fever reducer, none is better to use with children and this herb also reduces inflamed sinuses that are caused by a common cold.(CAUTION: this herb can cause photosensitivity.)

Yarrow Bleeding Compress
1 tsp tincture of yarrow 1/2 cup of water soft cloth Combine ingredients. Soak the cloth in liquid, wring it out and apply it with pressure over the wound

Fever Tea
2 cups water 1/2 tsp elder flowers 1/2 tsp yarrow flowers 1/2 tsp peppermint leaves Pour boiling water over herbs and steep for 10 minutes. Strain herbs and give child as much hot tea as they will drink. This tea can be mixed with equal amounts of fruit juice or lemon water, which also helps reduce a fever.

anti-ulcer compound.  It can be used to treat headaches by
drinking it as a tea.  As a natural antihistamine, you can avoid
those nasty side-effects associated with chemical allergy drugs.
It also helps to normalize blood pressure by adjusting
it according to your body's needs.  As a pain killer it increases
blood flow to injured and inflamed areas, which can be benificial
to arthritis sufferers.  In combination with other herbs, Ginger
gives other herbs a boost by improving the body's ability to assimilate

<pre><b>Natural Ginger Ale</b><br>
1/2 tsp powdered ginger          1 tsp red raspbery leaves
3 cups water                     1 cup carbonated water
1 lemon slice

Bring the herbs and plain water to a boil, then simmer for
5 minutes.  Remove from heat and steep additional 10 minutes.
Strain out herbs and add carbonated water and lemon just before
serving.  Drink as much as desired</pre><br>

Ginger Tea
1/2 tsp powdered ginger 2 tsp honey 1 cup boiling water Pour boiling water over powdered ginger. Add honey and stir until disolved. If desired, add an ounce of brandy or other liquor.
