Awhile back, we took an early vacation, to St. Petersburg, Florida. We stayed at a great little place on the beach. We visited Busch Gardens, played with jet skis, and spent lots and lots of time walking along the beach.
This is my daughter and some friends enjoying jet skis that we rented. It made me nervous to watch them, and of course, they thoroughly enjoyed racing and coming as close to each other as possible, so that I was certain they would wreck!
We visited Busch Gardens, and this big guy decided to pose for me! I don't think he was all that happy to have a bunch of tourists tapping on the window at him!
This hippo decided he'd had enough of gawking tourists, and headed for the bottom of his pool. I guess it is pretty boring to have people staring at you all day!
I hope you've enjoyed our brief trip to Florida. I know
there is plenty more to see there, and we hope to go back next year and
spend more time. Meanwhile, we'll just have to keep thumbing through the
old photo album and pretend we're there again!!
