A Russian Blue of a Different Color !!

This little jewel is a Colorpoint Russian...a result of the
idiom "a recessive gene is forever"
This gene became part of the Russian Blue lines when
after WWII, the breeders crossed existing Russian Blues to Blue Point Siamese
in an attempt to save the Russian Blue breed from extinction.
Once in the gene pool, it still pops up every now in then when certain
lines carrying the recessive are bred together.
The colorpoint Russian Blues are not as rare as one might think.
So, if you are looking for a cat to get along with your
current Russian Blue, you might consider a Colorpoint--
same cat, coat, personality, temperment--just a different color!!!
