Casey only a few minutes old. |
I was due July 21, 1998 I was born July 21, 1998 I weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. I was this tall 20 1/4" We live in Vancouver, WA Why my name I was named Casey because my Mommy's name would've been Casey if she had been a boy and she always liked that name. My middle name came from my Daddy's brother who died a few years before I was born. Casey is Gaelic for Strong and Brave. |
My birth experience I was induced on my due date because my mom had gestational diabetes and they were worried I'd be too big. My mom was already dialated to 4 and fully efaced when they started to induce. The first induction meds they tried wore off and they hadn't worked.. so they were going to start pitocin. I guess that scared me into submission because all of a sudden mom was in full blown labor on her own. They broke mom's water and 1.5 hours later at 3:08 pm I was born in only 3 pushes. I came out so fast that it traumatized me and I turned a very dark color. I also had a bruise on my cheek. Total labor time from beginning to end was 1.5 hours. You can read more about it here: Casey's Birth Story. | My hand in Daddy's a few minutes after I was born. |

My mommy also has a child from a previous relationship, Kevin-7. My mommy and daddy have Melissa-3 together, and of course me! Confused yet? |
Me at 9 months. I had 6 teeth and am still nursing. I didn't like solid foods much but it's ok because I weighed almost 21 lbs. I love to take baths and will start swinging my arms to splash as soon as I see the water. I can't quite crawl yet, but do a 'wounded soldier' scoot as my parents like to call it. |

This is one of my mom's favorite pictures. I just posed like this on my own. No one 'helped' me. Daddy's proud to have taken this picture. My mom has all kinds of hopes and dreams for me, but the most important wish for me is to grow up healthy and happy with a strong sense of who I am and my individuality, and to be true and honest to myself always. |
