2. Caroline Marguerite² THOMSEN (Johann Carl¹) was born in Schleswig-Holstein 9 Feb 1843. She resided in Dollerupholz, Schleswig-Holstein. Caroline died 17 Apr 1927 in Healdsburg, Sonoma, Calif, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred 20 Apr 1927 in Oak Mound Cem., Healdsburg, Calif.

She married Peter Nicholas HOLST in New York, about 1873. Peter was born in Mariengaard, Schleswig-Holst, Germany 17 Aug 1847. Peter was the son of Peter HOLST and Anna JOHANNSEN. Peter arrived in New York City on 8 Jun 1869 on the ship "Germania" which departed from Hamburg, Germany. He was residing in Connecticut in 1876, where he became a U.S. citizen. He and his family traveled west across the country, arriving in Healdburg, Calif circa 1877. Peter died 12 Apr 1928 in Healdsburg, Sonoma, Calif, at 80 years of age. His body was interred 14 Apr 1928 in Oak Mound Cem., Healdsburg, Calif.

Caroline Marguerite THOMSEN and Peter Nicholas HOLST had the following children:

11 i. Anna Marie³ HOLST was born in Connecticut 24 May 1875. Anna died 18 Aug 1953 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Calif, at 78 years of age. Her body was interred 21 Aug 1953 in Shiloh Cem., Windsor, Calif. She married Laurel E PACKWOOD.

12 ii. Mary Caroline HOLST was born in Healdsburg, Sonoma, Calif 4 Feb 1881. Mary died 26 Jan 1978 in Calif, at 96 years of age. Her body was interred in Oak Mound Cem., Healdsburg, Calif. She married John MORGAN in California.

13 iii. Peter HOLST was born in Healdsburg, Sonoma, Calif 1883. Peter died 1883 in Healdsburg, Sonoma, Calif, at less than one year of age. His body was interred in Oak Mound Cem., Healdsburg, Calif.

+ 14 iv. Charles HOLST was born 18 Oct 1884.

15 v. George HOLST was born in Healdsburg, Sonoma, Calif 1885. George died about 1925 (?).
