Aviary Visit to Robert Manvell's Stud in Tamworth 16/11/97

Robert Manvell discussing the finer points of his birds, with James Smith and Eddie Ryan.
(Bob's the one with the whiskers.)
The aviary complex is approximately 6 metres wide x 12 metres long.  The walls are constructed of Hebel blocks and the roof and ceiling is metal and is insulated with R3.2 fibreglass.
Once inside the aviary the first thing that you notice is the temperature, it must be 10 degrees cooler. The insulation and the Hebel blocks certainly do their job. The second thing is the amount of room ample space for the 40 breeding cabinets and 2 large flight cages and 2 smaller flight cages. It is really well set out and extremely functional.
