James H.Hayes (AEA SAG AFTRA Stage-Screen Name "JIMMY HAYESON")

James H. Hayes, actor of screen, stage, and television is a native of Carthage, NC. He was educated in the then, union school Pinckney High School in 1941, where he was an outstanding student-athlete and singer in the choral group.
His college career at North Carolina College, now North Carolina Central University, was interrupted after his second year by his Uncle Sam. He completed 3 years in the US army, and upon his return to civilian life picked up and completed his college degree-The Batchelor Of Science In Commerce,1948.
Jimmy was employed with The National Bureau Of Economic Research in New York and retired from that job after distinguished service for 43 years. It was during those years that he developed his intense desire to become an actor. It was rather a natural extension of him, since he had always showed an uninhibited abilty to dramatically express himself. His mix of humor, wit, charm and oratorical ability combined with his determination to succeed and his devotion to the theater endeared him to his fellow actors and caught the attention of many top producers. There are not many people who maintain a full time job and devote all of their spare moments to a very low paying avocation. These attributes became the essence of Jimmy's success. Look at his accomplishments. Are you sure you haven't seen him some where before?

With all his talents and busy schedule in the theater and movies, Jimmy remains a devoted family member. He has become the family story teller. He never misses a reunion of any kind if it held in or near his beloved Carthage. He was just delighted to hear that Carthage now has street lights and a computer store. At our next reunion he will regale us with his stories of what this means to the town.

OH yes, why "HAYESON"? Well, when Jimmy broke into the big time, someone else already had "Hayes". So, Jimmy used a contraction of his mother's maiden name TYSON with his family name HAYES to become "HAYESON".
