Chuck's Medieval Madness Banner

small square knotHello all and welcome to my world. I am venturing into this project with an eye to having some fun and sharing some of the things I enjoy. I have always enjoyed traveling the Worldwide Web and seeing what others want to share. Now it's my turn to join the society of WWW users who share their lives, or at least a portion.

small square knotFirst, I need to share with you some of the history and life of this humble knight with the unlikely name of Chuck. I live in the heartland of America, in a little village known as Bellevue, a small hamlet near the great unwalled fortress of Omaha which guards the Missouri river, in the vast untamed territory of Nebraska. I ventured to this land 17 summers past after finishing studies at a great center of learning in my native land of Colorado. I have seen 38 summers pass in this realm of life, most of them fruitful and productive ones. I serve a fair master, who provides me with sufficient quantities of gold and other forms of currency to see to all my needs and keeps me fit, fed and productive. In exchange for the protection of my master I herald his greatness to the far corners of the land, and seek buyers of his many goods in order to keep his treasury laden with gold and silver. I have no mate to share my modest castle, but fear not for me as that is not as poor a situation as many may make it to be. Alas, no heirs yet exist to inherit my lands and wealth, and I have no mongrel to sit beneath my table and gnaw at the bones of my leavings so there will be no tales of children nor pets on these pages.

small square knotBefore we venture deeper into my world and interests I wish to thank the great scribe and practioner of that magic known as HTML, a fair lass known as Lori, for using her vast knowledge and skills to bring this place to life. She practices her magic under the eldritch name of Skye and proclaims her abilities in these matters with a banner of wondrous design on this page.

small square knotThus the adventure begins. This page is now in the infant stage but will soon be transformed into a wondrous journey through the history, art, castles, traditions, and arms and armor of medieval Europe. More pages will magically appear as my webpage world expands to entertain and inform you in my interests of literature, poetry, antiques, and so many more. Come back and visit often and see how this place changes and grows over time.
