Wonderful Attributes of God

What, exactly, is an attribute?

An attribute is an adjective which describes a person or thing; here, it is an adjective describing a Person -- God. In this case, attributes are words which give us a picture of God’s many characteristics, or His many distinguishing features. And God does have some very distinguishing features.

Below are just a few...though not all are finished

Hope

Grace

Peace

Mercy

Forgiveness

Faithfulness

Lovingkindness

Now, all of these are wonderful attributes of God, but they should be ours as well. If we truly want to be “like Him", then we need to be hopeful in all things, show grace in all matters, be peaceful and merciful in every situation, have forgiveness toward all, be faithful in all our endeavors for Him, and allow lovingkindness to “shine forth” everyday. With His Help, we can be all of these things, but only with His Help. There’s a wonderfully simple truth in a little song some of us learned as children:

“This little light of mine; I’m gonna let it shine...”

It sounds so very easy to do, but what with all the “storm clouds” about us that seem to dim out the Light of the Son...it’s not so simple or pleasurable a task sometimes. And so, we need His Help. Daily -- every hour of the day -- or so it seems at times.

Always There (and On Time)

Always Faithful

Always Present

Always Loving

These are just some of the things our Wonderful God Is -- and He is so much more. We will add to this page, taking closer looks at Grace, Peace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Faithfulness, and Lovingkindness, as time permits. It is our deepest hope and our sincerest prayer that, after visiting our pages, you will find Him to be for you whatever you need Him to be.
