SETTING PRIORITIES

Ignore the spiritual side of Christmas.
For many people this seems to be the key to planning their worst Christmas ever.

At some point, you need to make a critical choice: There are only so
many hours of the day to devote to Christmas, even when you make it
a year round endeavor. You need to set some priorities.

You may come to a point where you think you're doing too much. You may
feel guilty for not taking more time to remember "the reason for the season."

Well isn't guilt a bad thing? Why would you want to feel guilty?

Perhaps the best way to eliminate the guilt is to finally accept what the modern
Christmas is all about--love, peace, joy, happiness, decorations, food,
family, shopping, Santa Claus, parades, school plays, parties, and receiving
great presents from other people. You don't need to add chrisianity to get
something meaningful out of it. That might lead you to do something drastic
like...like...I can hardly bring myself to write the terrible words...simplifying
your Christmas celebration.

Take it from someone who has learned it the hard way: The best way to ensure
your worst Christmas ever is to go ahead and take Christ completely out of it.
