Who are WE and why do we care about YOU?
Hi! We know that you have enough to read on this and many other fabulous websites, so
we will keep this kinda short...we just wanted you to be able to get to know us a little better!
Our names are Troy and Judy. We are 30ish and live near Houston, Texas. Judy is originally from Chicago, and Troy is a native (not naive) Houstonian. This would explain the Texan "drawl" when he types!!!
This is our second marriage. We went through some mighty hard times before we met, and that was partially because we didn't have the right relationship with God. It wouldn't be right to blame others for the demise of our relationships, they just were not based on God's foundations for marriage.
HOWEVER...
On August 12, 1995, in the presence of God, a very wonderful pastor, our children, and several of our friends, we were finally married to each other. Shortly after that, God again "tested" our commitment, not to each other, but to Him as a couple. We had some pretty frustrating moments, but have always been able to communicate with each other openly.
God put us together at a time when we both needed a spiritual boost. When we started dating, we had a deep hunger to learn God's word on marriage. Digging in the Bible for the meaning of the "perfect" marriage, we discovered that God wanted us to have the "perfect" relationship with Him. We both reaffirmed our commitment to God. God "tested" that faith many times before He allowed us to be married. I suppose we passed because we overcame the many obstacles that popped up. Our faith grew stronger as Christians, both knowing who to serve in this great big confusing world.
Why do we care?
A few years ago, we finally jumped on the internet, and we were hooked! Our favorite site was a chat room for parents. We met many people there, and developed some special friendships with parents all over the world. It became apparent to us that there was a need for internet users to get sincere answers about God, Jesus, and how to have a relationship with Him. That is why we created this site, and that is the only focus of it.
