Randor's Cats This Page may take a little while to load, so please be patient. Well, its probably kind of silly to add pictures of my cats to this site, but they are just so cute, its hard to resist. Specially these baby pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have as many pictures of them as adult cats, but if I manage to catch any good ones of them I will scan them in and add them. Meanwhile, meet my fuzzy companions. :)
This is Cloudy, at a very young age. When we first got her she seemed to have quite a fascination for several of our electronic devises. She liked to watch the typewriter at work...and lend a paw where she could. :)
For obvious reasons she also liked to sit and watch my gerbils (Linnet and Valerian, in case you are curious. :)). She was never bad about attacking them (when they wer IN the cage, that is) but would sit and watch them for hours. They didn't seem to mind. They still ran under her as if they knew she couldn't get them. And yes, she IS sound asleep. :) We later found out that she is deaf, which would explain why she could fall asleep in such a strange place. Sound asleep. After the first couple of days these two have been best of friends. They still like to curl up together in the same corner. Okay. So there was an adult picture of her after all. :) This is Minuet. My feline companion. And yes, she is quite the companion. Who needs a dog? She generally makes sure there is somewhere right next to me to sleep (like on the top of the computer...) and howls if I leaver her alone. She is cute, and she knows how to use it. <G> One of the cutest kittens I have ever seen. Okay, okay. I know I'm predudiced. But she STILL likes to sit in my arms like that. Here is one cat who loves to have her belly rubbed. Go figure. :) She just HAD to see what that was all about. :) It was almost too much for her. But to answer your question, yes, that is a real hawk. It got hit by a car (not ours) on the highway and we found it and got it stuffed. Both kittens found it quite fascinating for awhile there. See what I mean? Not quite sure what the upside-down thing was all about, but I'll take it as an indication that she trusts me. Another one of her favorite places to sleep as a kitten. She fit quite well, and probably found it an asset that she could look out the window at the same time. She doesn't sit up there much anymore, seems to prefer hugging the arms of the sofa now. But isn't she adorable? :) What do you mean that's not a cat? Are you sure about that? Could be, you know...well, never mind. :) This is Perry, my pet squirrel. I named him for the squirrel in the novel Bambi. Felt like putting him up somewhere, and since there is only one, this will do. I caught him as a baby and tamed him down. He was quite the sweet thing too. It was fun playing with him because he liked to climb, unlike a hamster. However, after keeping him for two or three weeks, I finally decided that he'd be better off if I let him go. -sigh- He was obviously grateful, though, because all that winter he'd come back and sit in my hand while I fed him peanut butter and dry bread. It made giving him up a bit easier and come spring time, he found himself a mate and that was the last of that. But they did make their nest in our eaves...he just was to busy to be tame anymore, though. It was an interesting experience while it lasted, and I did learn my lesson about wild animals as pets. Well, that is all of that kind of picture at the moment, but I'll add more as I get them. Maybe expand to hold other animals as well. :) Hope you enjoyed meeting my furries.
