First there is my wife Shirley. She has
been retired for the last 8 years. She worked as a
telephone operator at a local answering service for
17 years, jokingly she likes to refer to it as being
a "call girl". Besides thinking that she is the
"boss" she thinks she is a comedienne, and she is
right both times. Since we both are retired, Shirley
allows me to do the cooking(a hobby of mine) and any
other chores I wasn't involved in while I was
working. We both like to travel. The New England
States are one of are favorite places (been there 15
times),been to Hawaii(don't care to go back). Since
we've been to Alaska, it has become our second
favorite, in fact were going back the summer of 2000.
All in all we both enjoy each other's company.
We have two
daughters. They are both married; Sandra is married
to Jim and Kimberley is married to Victor
(David). Sandy has two children. Robin who is 22
years old and Erin who is 16 years old. Kim also
has two children; Samantha who is 5 years old and
Robert who is 3 years old. We also have a dog
named Charlie. He is part terrier and Dobie. He now
is 8 years old, and has devolped a case of epilepsy.
We also have a parakeet, named Budgie. He has only
one leg, the other was bitten off by a grey parrot.
He has just died-04-28-2000, from cancer. I
almost forgot our new pet, his name is Flutter. You
can see him on this page. My name
is Bob Post,(papapost). I've been retired from Ohio
Bell Telephone Co. for about 7 years, after giving
them 40 years of my life, but I must say the old
O.B.T. was very good to me. My hobbies include
counted cross stitch, webtv, cooking, and I'm
a stamp collector. Also we collect Amish art, but
only the work of artist Diane Graebner; she also
makes cross stitch patterns of some of her work. My
wife does the cross-stitch then we frame the picture
and the cross-stitch together. I'm also active in
our church. I was a long time in getting to church,
the family have always gone.
It was a sore spot between my wife and me, she would
take the kids and I would stay home and read the
paper. I finally got message and started to church.
One day out of a clear blue sky I went forward.
Soon afterwards I was baptized, that was the greatest
day of my life,I was literally reborn. I always knew
that JESUS was with me. But when I was baptized HE
really made his presence known.
Thanks for listening to ramblings
of an old man. Well thats enough about me. Shirley
will eventually finish her lifestory and maybe deny
all I said about her. Well I guess you are going
to have to wait for Shirley to finish her life story.
I can't get her off the darn chat line, she told my
older daughter that she would never be able to chat.
So she was talked into trying it, now it's chat, chat
almost every free moment. So I guess she's lost for
the time being.
