Dear Beckie Simmons Agency, Tony Gore & Majesty and Singing News:
This is a letter to let you know that the ministry of Tony Gore & Majesty is touching lives. On Nov. 20, 1998 I lost my little brother to a gun accident. This happened while I was in the middle of a major job change, so the accident caught me at an already emotional challenge in my life.
I am a Christian and know first-hand the power and presence of God in a Christian's llife. But with all of this, my feet were knocked out from under me. My older brother and I had to give the bad news to our mom; this is where God began to take total control of our situation.
From the time we told our mom to the date of the burial, I have never felt God's Presence in my life like I did during this time. He is so good to us. I was able to get through the funeral as well as assist other members of the family with a sense of peace like I've never felt.
A month after the funeral, I was at a Christian bookstore in Raleigh,NC, to pick up a bible-study book and I walked by the tape department. I picked up Tony's tape, but I started not to buy it because I had so many tapes that I had not listened to yet. But God impressed upon me that I needed this tape, so I bought it.
I began my journey home, which took over an hour. About halfway home, a song came on that as soon as it did, I knew why God said buy the tape. While listening to the song, I had to pull off the road. And after spending I-don't-know-how-long there, I was able to put my brother's death into a now-positive part of my life.
The name of the song is "When It's Time To Say Goodbye." Because of this, I am now ready and able to use the circumstances of this tragedy on stage so that other people can see the Love of God and His Saving Power.
Thank you, Tony, for your ministry and allowing God to use you to sing the type and style of music that you do. May God bless and keep pressing on toward the mark.
