THANKS TO OUR DAD
The time that we spend hunting now,
Is a tribute to our dad.
A perfect role model, he was to us.
The best we could've ever had.
Some might think he was rough on us,
When we were just kids.
But we think it's because of him,
We turned out like we did.
Without hunting as teenagers,
We might have lost our way.
It was the thing that bonded Dad to us,
And still is to this day.
It gave him time to talk to us,
And teach us lots of things.
Not just about hunting but,
The changes each day brings.
It also gave us time with him,
And we're so thankful for those days
Cause Dad's home in heaven now
We'll join him one day to stay.
When we have children of our very own
We'll teach them to be hunters
And this tribute to our Dad
Will live on and on.
We wouldn't have these memories,
To cheer us when we're sad
And we might not be hunters,
But we are, thanks to our Dad.
