this is interesting. I had a gggrandfather, first name unknown, DuBois who married a Sallie Rogers in Georgetown, TX and bore one son, Lott Louis DuBois. He left Sallie to go back to France. My grandfather, Otto Keller, was born in Bad Kreuchnach, near Koblenz, Germany in 1872. He was one of a family of six who live at one time in an inn called "Der Sohnn" on Hoch Strasse. He emigrated to the UK around 1910 where he settled in the Peckham dis rict of London and became a bakery worker. He died in 1962 at the age of 90. I should love to hear from any other Kellers whose family originated from the same part of Germany and may be related.

I've got some interesting things for Johnstones. In particular Archbishop Gavin Dunbar's Great Curse of 1528 which he issued against all of the Border Rievers of Sctoland and which still stands as one of the greatest curses of all time. Other things too that are being put together.

Excellent site, I am decended from William and Willis Johnstone who fought in the revolutionary war and then settled in Georgia. My first ancestor to come to this country came in 1639 we believe. Around 6-8 Underwood families came to America in the 1600's. Most to New England. (1) to Virginia and (1) to Georgia. My family is fromthe Virginia group, which lived in Bourbon County VA in the 1760's-this eventually begam Kentucky. My Underwood family m rried into the Laniers and Washington family ( Same as George Washington) and have Royal blood. Many Underwoods were in the Revolutionary War and received large land grants. A book exists on the Underwoods of Georgia and Virginia. I am sure your Underwood family migrated to Mississippi from either Georgia or Virginia

I am searching for my Grandparents who by now have most likely passed away. I am still interested in their roots. They would be Laura and Garnett UNDERWOOD. Our family is descended from William Underwood who married a Jenny Shepard at Woodham Walter, Essex, England inon 9 October 1769. One of his sons, Richard May Underwood, married a Ellen Sarah Prince who came to New Zealand with two small boys, being two f their seven children, but we know nothing of their fathe other than he died around 15 April 1861 aged 81 years at the Union Workhouse, Edmonton (presumably in Canada)r. One of the boys was intellectually handicapped and drowned, as an adult, when he f ll into Wellington harbour after over indulging in ale. The other son married the only child of Robert Houghton who was a ship's chandler and is belieived to have been one of the sons of Lord Cochrane, the Earl of DunDonald and head of the Admiralty. Th y had two children before H J Underwood was drowned on the Penguin when it foundered in a severe storm in Cook Strait ( being the stretch of water between the North and South Islands of New Zealand) on 12 Feb 1909.

Lucy Bird is all I have except was told she was run out of Ga. on the trail of tears to Okla. Her husband was James Goodwin and their daughter Nancy Ann Goodwin married Thomas Hutchins Fraser of N.C. I have no surnames because my father was orphan- ed at the age 3,in Brooklyn N.Y. in 1920.He was raised in an orphanage on Long Island until he left on his own at the age of 16.He never looked back.Now I would like to.
