Overview of William Bradford's Life
William Bradford was born March 19, 1590, in Austerfield, England. At age 12 he joined the Separatists. In 1608 he fled to Holland with a group of Separatists in search of religious freedom. He served as governor of Plymouth Colony 1621-1657. He died May 9, 1657.
