The Mark Goodson-Bill Todman classic panel game which originally premiered on CBS on December 18, 1956 has had several runs in nighttime, daytime, and syndication through 1991, and has now been renewed for the 2001 Season!
The pages are beginning to take form, and the site is slowly expanding. Coming Soon is a pictoral and written tribute to the Grand Dame of game shows, Kitty Carlisle Hart, and pictures from TTTT 1990!

  • To Tell The Truth is now a go for a second season, it has finally been picked up in New York, and is renewed in over 70% of the country.
  • To Tell The Truth's renewal for Season Two is being tied into the purchase of Pearson's revival of Card Sharks.
  • All of the recent ratings have To Tell The Truth in the 1.8 - 2.1 range.
  • To Tell The Truth debuts on September 18, 2000.
  • Pearson TV has put up a website for TTTT 2000, visit it at http://www.totellthetruth.tv
  • Promotions should be running on your local station for TTTT 2000.
  • Family Feud announcer Burton Richardson will also announce TTTT 2000.
  • Pearson TV has announced that Paula Poundstone and Meshach Taylor will become regulars on TTTT 2000.
  • TTTT 2000 will begin taping in late May at NBC Studios in Burbank.
  • TTTT 2000 has now been picked up in 85% of the U.S.
  • TTTT 2000 has been getting rave reviews at the NATPE, where it has been picked up in 73% of the U.S.
  • The host of TTTT 2000 is John O'Hurley, who you might know as Mr. Peterman on "Seinfeld."
  • The team of challengers now gets $1000 for each incorrect vote.
  • There is now an "Audience Vote," which now means a total of 5 votes can be cast. (4 Panelists, 1 Audience Vote)

  • John O'Hurley actually is a good host. He keeps the game moving along while interjecting a comment here and there. He seems to have good interaction with the panel and the contestants.
    PANEL
  • When Pearson first announced Meshach Taylor as a regular, and Paula Poundstone as a semi-regular, I thought to myself 'Match Game '98 all over again!' But I believe that I am wrong. Even in the first shows, Meshach and Paula seem to have a good chemestry going.
    SET
  • The set is really good looking. The panel's desk and Mr. O'Hurley's podium are a throwback with that dark wood and square pattern on it. The background looks good also, with the TTTT fingers on it. The contestants podiums look good too.
    MUSIC
  • The music selection is, umm.... interesting. The theme isn't the type that will get in your head, (like the current Family Feud). Something different is that they play music while reading the statement.
    OTHER OBSERVATIONS
  • The show has alot more ineuendo, but that's the way most shows are now. Burton Richardson is a strong announcer, and fits in with the show.
    • 1
