Here is where I will be posting info as I find it on Slaves that my Ancestors owned. The info will be coming from Wills as well as from Census. I would like to encourage everyone to make an effort to give this information out. I am working on getting a link to a page that host's a list for this. But as of now I do not have the info. Will for Adam SLIGER dated Sept 16, 1834 in Monroe County, Tennessee. It states in it that upon his death his daughter Levinia get the Tatiho man. It goes on to say that all my slaves to be free at the age of 35, Peter to be free whenever the present crop is secure. Those that may be born hereafter the males to be free at the age of 21 and females at the age of 18.
