Is your last name FOSTER? Then you are a "Foster" child. This web site will be dedicated to "saving those Foster children". These Fosters were in North Carolina in the 1780's. They were in Rutherford County and when Buncombe was created, they were taken in by that county. When Haywood County was formed from Buncombe County, they were then situated in Haywood County. By 1840, these Foster families were in Union County, Georgia.

There are links to Georgia genealogy as well as intermarrying lines into the Foster families.

In July 1999, the Foster family had a reunion at Lower Hightower Baptist Church, in Hiawassee, Georgia. It was a reunion of the Foster-Burrell family. Here is the outcome of the reunion.
