John Thomas Nicholson son of Samuel and Sarah Hooper Nicholson, was born May 28, 1849 in Union (Towns) County, Georgia. John married Martha Rogers Oct 30, 1870. Martha was the daughter of J C and Agnes Johnson Rogers and was born June 2, 1846. John and Martha lived on Fodder Creek.

In 1917, John and Stanton Nicholson, gave a deed for two acres of land being the present Fodder Creek Cemetery.

John T Nicholson died June 30, 1933; Martha died July 25, 1929 and they both are buried in Enotah Cemetery.

John and Martha Nicholson had six children:

3. Ernest Martin Nicholson married Carrie Berrong.
   a. Everett Cortez (1901-1962) married Velma Gibson
   b. Maebelle (1907) married 1936 John Gordon
   c. Ernest Ross (1912) married Cornelia.

4. Lillie Nicholson married Cicero C Burch.
   a.  Dean Duquesne (1908-1971) married Carrie Tatham.

5. Laura Nicholson married John Hooper
   no children

6. Minnie Belle Nicholson married Edd L Brown
   a.  Jay Frank (1913) married Julia Barnett
   b. Clarence Edward(1917) married Christine Hollinsworth.
   c.  Vaughn I (1920-1965)
   d. Martha Bell (1925-1970) married Ben T Slade
