Isaac Barnett Swanson
Isaac Barnett Swanson was born May 22, 1827, Burke Co NC and was the son of Richard Swanson and Isabella Sherrill. He is listed in Caldwell Co in the 1850 census. He married Martha Melvina Bryson, March 25, 1856. Martha was born March 29, 1835 and was the daughter of John Bryson and Jane Ann Rogers, pioneer settlers of the Brasstown Valley, Union Co Georgia area.
Isaac owned twelve acres of land, two horses, five cows, two sheep, and twenty-one hogs. Isaac B and Martha Swanson had the following children:

Jewel Oliver, born 1859, married Easter Keener.
Mary Hicks, born 1861, married Alfred Greene.
Isaac Sherrill, born 1863, died 1868.
Martha Armentia Lula, born 1866, married (1) George Greene, (2)A J Martin.
Margaret Lola, born 1868, married Mel B Underwood.
John Thaddeus, born 1871, married Nancy WIlbanks.
Henry Grant, born 1873, married Mary Etta Sampson.
Georgiann Sarah Jane, born 1878 and died 1890.
Judson Linville Lafayette, born 1878, married Carrie Mae Parker.
Martha died August 1902, Isaac died Nov 1903.
